SK Football Academy based in #UAE in collaboration with Kigali Marriott Hotel | Four Points by Sheraton Kigali visited four SOS Children’s Villages schools in Kayonza, Byumba and Kigali program location for three days with football coaching sessions.

The visit of SK Football Academy has been organized through a partnership between SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda and Kigali Marriott Hotel | Four Points by Sheraton Kigali. During the coaching sessions, the Managing Partner of SK Football Academy Mr Ben McBride said that it is a great opportunity to work with SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda to nurture children.

“It is a great opportunity to work with SOS Children’s Villages as we are aiming to support children to grow up. I find children with a passion for their development with ambitions to play football and children with hope for their future,“ said Ben.

In his remark, the General Manager of Kigali Marriott Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton Kigali Matthias Widor emphasized that working with SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda is the best way to support children to grow up.

“We know the interventions of SOS Children’s Villages towards the wellbeing of vulnerable children and vulnerable families so working with SOS Children’s Villages is a great opportunity to support children to grow up. Last year, we conducted a fundraising campaign to support children and this is the beginning, more activities to support children are yet to come,” added Matthias.

The National Director of SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda, Jean Bosco Kwizera, appreciated the noble activity of SK Football Academy and Kigali Marriott Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton of supporting children through sports activities.

Jean Bosco said, “Doing well is good business especially when you support a child to grow. At SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda, we support more than 365,000 people across Rwanda, we cannot do that alone we only achieve this by working with corporate companies like Kigali Marriott Hotel. We appreciate the support from SK Football Academy and Kigali Marriott and Four Points by Sheraton for their support.”

In December last year, the “Taste of Kigali Hotels” charity event organized by Kigali Mariott Hotel at the exquisite Cucina Restaurant contributed to a fundraising amount of Rwf 18,500,000 donated to vulnerable children under SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda care.
