Diogene KAREGA

Diogene KAREGA has over 27 years of management experience including Education and Youth development, strategic lobbying, program management, marketing, child protection, child care, monitoring and evaluation and advocacy for SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda.

Diogene Karega joined SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda in 1994 when everything was down, no hope for children, SOS Children, young people and staff. With the late National Director, he built SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda and brought back hope among children, young people and staff, especially SOS Mothers, Aunts and Youth leaders.

He has occupied variant Senior Position in SOS children’s villages in Rwanda such as Director of Youth facilities, Family Based Care Coordinator, interim of national Director for almost one year, Program Director in one location and Child Safeguarding/Child protection and Advocacy Advisor.

He has always been in Senior Management of SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda where he played big role in the success of young people in their lives and advocating for children’s right and high-level consideration of SOS Children’s Villages in Rwanda by the Government of Rwanda and other NGOs.
