SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda signed a MOU with Terra Sports Academy Ltd to build and operate a sports facility and recreational outlet that promotes children and youth talents on one of SOS Children’s Villages premises.

Terra Sports Academy Ltd reached out to SOS Children’s Village Rwanda, a Non-Governmental Organization specialized in promoting children and youth, 15 months ago following an idea to initiate sports facilities to promote young Rwandan talents.

“We are grateful to start a partnership with Terra Sports Academy which will benefit and support children as this is our business. The project will go beyond supporting SOS children Villages Rwanda as the facility will be open to the broad community,” explained Jean Gakwaya, SOS Children’s Village Rwanda Chairman of the Board of Directors and Legal Representative.

“We feel privileged to partner with SOS Children’s Village Rwanda and look forward to embrace additional projects on SOS Children’s Villages premises. SOS Children’s Village Rwanda will continue to support us in the administrative processes and future partnerships in the country”, expressed Mr. Khadar Abdullah Abdi, Managing Director of Terra Sports Academy Ltd.

The construction works of the state-of-the-art structure will start end of November with an estimated investment of US Dollar 250,000. The inauguration ceremony is expected to take place in March 2021.
